Inspiring Ireland is a project of the Digital Repository of Ireland at the Royal Irish Academy to curate and make Ireland’s digital cultural heritage openly available in a single online portal.

Tionscadal de chuid Thaisclann Dhigiteach na hÉireann in Acadamh Ríoga na hÉireann é Inspiring Ireland a choimeádann oidhreacht dhigiteach chultúrtha na hÉireann agus a chuireann ar fáil í trí aon tairseach ar líne amháin.

This exhibition curates objects that document the different ways in which the events of Easter Week 1916 have been memorialised and commemorated, both in the public sphere and in more private ways, over the last century.

Accompanied by expert commentary from Dr. Róisín Higgins, Senior Lecturer in History, Teeside University, England and author of Transforming 1916: Meaning, Memory and the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Easter Rising, (Cork, 2012)

Coimeádann an taispeántas seo ábhar a léiríonn na bealaigh éagsúla ina ndearnadh imeachtaí sheachtain na Cásca 1916 a chomóradh agus a thabhairt chun cuimhne le céad bliain anuas, go poiblí agus ar bhealaí níos príobháidí.

Mar chuid den taispeántas tá saintráchtaireacht leis an Dr Róisín Higgins, Léachtóir Sinsearach le Stair, Ollscoil Teeside, Sasana agus údar Transforming 1916: meaning, memory and the fiftieth anniversary of the Easter Rising, (Corcaigh, 2012)
