Rothschild is one of the leading sculptors of her generation and has gained extensive international recognition for her work. Her practice is informed by an ongoing interest in the meeting points between spirituality, visual perception and the nature of materiality.
She works across a range of media including steel, leather, resin, plastic and fabric and her work is often characterised by the use of unstable geometric forms. This will be Rothschild’s first solo exhibition in the Midlands and the new body of work will include a specially commissioned piece using leather sourced from local suppliers.
Eva Rothschild has had solo shows at Nasher Sculpture Centre in Dallas, Tate Britain, and The Hepworth Wakefield. Her work is held in major collections including Tate, the Museum of Modern Art, New York, and the Irish Museum of Modern Art. She was elected to the Royal Academy in 2015.

Tá Rothschild ar dhaoine de mhórdhealbhóirí a linne agus tá aitheantas forleathan faighte ag a saothar go hidirnáisiúnta. Faigheann a cleachtas treoir ó shuim leanúnach atá aici sna pointí sin ag a mbuaileann an spioradáltacht, aireachtáil amhairc agus an t-ábharachas le chéile.
Oibríonn sí thar raon meán lena n-áirítear cruach, leathar, roisín, plaisteach agus fabraic agus úsáideann sí foirmeacha céimseatúla neamhchobhsaí go minic ina gcuid oibre. Beidh sé seo ar an gcéad taispeántas aonair ag Rothschild i Lár Tíre agus áireofar leis an gcorpas nua saothair píosa a coimisiúnaíodh go speisialta ag úsáid leathair a fuair sí ó sholáthraithe áitiúla.
