Diarmuid Lynch was a member of the Supreme Council of the IRB. He was condemned to be shot for his role in the 1916 Easter Rising but USA President, Woodrow Wilson, intervened personally on his behalf.

Bhí Diarmuid Lynch ar dhuine de na baill d’Ardchomhairle BPÉ. Daoradh chun a lámhaigh é dá ról in Éirí Amach 1916 ach rinne Uachtarán SAM, Woodrow Wilson féin idirghabháil ar a shon.

So Lynch, who was the last man to vacate the burning GPO on Friday April 28th 1916, lived on and spent the rest of his life working for Ireland. Eileen McGough will tell the story of this man who has been largely forgotten in Ireland’s history

Mar sin, mhair Lynch, a bhí ar an bhfear deireanach amach as Ard-Oifig an Phoist agus an áit trí thine Dé hAoine an 28ú lá d’Aibreán 1916, agus chaith an chuid eile dá shaol ag obair in Éirinn. Inseoidh Eileen McGough scéal an fhir seo a bhfuil imithe i ndíchuimhne den chuid is mó i gcúrsaí stair na hÉireann.
